Spring Dog Walk

Come one, come all!

Time to walk off those winter blues along the C&O Canal.  It's an easy, flat path and everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace for whatever distance is comfortable.  Wear comfortable shoes, bring bug spray, chairs, and water for the dogs.  The club will provide beverages; bring a bag lunch.

From Rockville area:

Take route 28 north approximately 20 miles to the Aqueduct access road called Mouth of the Monocacy Road.  This intersection is also marked Monocacy Crossroads and is located in Dickerson Maryland.  If you reach the Monocacy River Bridge while heading north, you have gone too far.

From Frederick or the Catoctin Kennel Club:

Take route 28 south.  Once you cross the Monocacy River Bridge, the Aqueduct access road is two miles south on the right.

Once on the access road, go 1.8 miles until you see a sign that says Aqueduct parking.  Parking is limited on this site; however, there is plenty of parking at the boat ramp area, which is right off the Aqueduct parking area.  The boat ramp parking area is 0.2 miles from the Aqueduct, but if you don't mind walking through the woods, it is only 150 feet.

Questionable Weather:

Last minute changes and announcements will be posted on the Calendar page on the day of the Walk.
